KT Medicals compression gloves are
crafted of a very fine cotton/nylon/spandex/fabric knitted at its factory
in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA.
These compression gloves are pre-sized, non-custom
pieces. They are intended to be used under medical supervision with a
medically prescribed edema control treatment program. Designed with the
utmost of patient comfort in mind, they provide gentle compression to
relieve lymphoedema and other types of hand edemas.
The standard glove styles are 'natural cotton'
colour and are available in five sizes, from small (S) to extra, extra
large (XXL). Sizes vary according to style - please refer to the measuring
chart. The glove fabric is unbleached cotton, to minimise allergic reactions
in sensitive skin.
Proper care of these gloves will enhance
their durability. They should be washed in a washing machine with light
coloured laundry and using conventional household clothing detergent.
However, you should make sure that they are not washed with any garments
that may snag the fabric, eg. zips. Warm temperatures are best, but not
hot. It is recommended that they be placed in a tumble dryer at medium
heat after washing. If you do not have a tumble dryer the gloves should
be placed on/near a radiator, alternatively using a hairdryer will aid
drying. The heat helps the gloves to return to their original state. Frequent
machine washing and machine drying is highly recommended to enhance performance
of these gloves.
To remove the glove, grasp at the wrist end
and turn inside out as you remove it toward the fingers. This will prevent
tearing and maintains the garments shape.
Important
- please do not cut or trim off the glove fingertip areas. The fabric
will not fray; however, the seams may break. Order fingertip length desired:
regular or long.
Pocket Gloves -
Pressure Packs:
Pocket gloves may be washed in the way described
above however, the pressure packs contain buckwheat hulls and these must
not, be washed. Once the glove is dry the pressure pack may be inserted
back into the pocket. Use a blunt ended object for reinserting the pack
into the pocket.
