One-way stretch bandages (HandBAND, FingerBAND,
ToeBAND, KompriBAND) and Two-way stretch bandages (KomprimED) should be
washed and cared for according to the instructions below.
Both types of bandage should be washed in
warm to hot water with normal detergent. It is recommended that they are
washed in a washing machine. If possible use perfume-free detergent as
this will reduce the risk of patient allergy reactions, although other
detergents may be adequate. You can wash them with your household laundry
(light colours).
To insure that the bandages return to their
original state after washing they should be put into an automatic clothes
dryer with regular laundry on a medium heat. Frequent machine washing
and drying will obtain maximum benefit and effectiveness from the bandages.
